Well - I do have my favorite movie version of Doyle's best Sherlock Holmes novel, but fact is that no-one was ever able to make the Hound nearly as exciting and creepy as it appears on the page. Most adaptations since the silent premiere in 1914 just took great dogs, some "pure", some masked or with glowing paint (which indeed is Canonical) or both. The BBC in 2002 tried a CGI Hound which was definitely not worth the money, but well ...
This has a whole set of movie or TV adaptations cut together. Now, go and name them all.
Sort of "Part Three" of my Napoleons of Crime series - counting the poor Hound as a Honorary Member.
